The all-electric Nissan Ariya coupe-crossover represents the brand's electric future.

A purely electric range of up to 500 kilometers, driving pleasure, comfort and connectivity were the focus of development of the Japanese car, which is scheduled to hit the roads in Japan and the States from 2021. There are no details yet about the market launch in Europe. The base price is expected to be around 40,000 Swiss francs.

Ariya
The Ariya stands out with its high beltline, low roof and large wheel arches.

Five different versions for Europe
The Ariya is based on the Renault-Nissan Group's new electric platform. The Ariya is positioned between the Qashqai and X-Trail.

The Nissan Ariya is 4.59 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and 1.66 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.77 meters. Dimensions closer to the X-Trail, but with a lower roof.

In Europe, the Ariya is to be available in five different versions, which differ in battery capacity, one or two electric motors (front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive e4ORCE) and performance.

Ariya
The Nissan Ariya's voice commands respond to the phrase "Hello Nissan" or "Hey Nissan."

Batteries with 63 kWh or 87 kWh capacity
The front-wheel-drive Ariya 2WD will be available with a 63 kWh or 87 kWh battery pack, with only one electric motor on the front axle, a power output of 160 kW (218 hp) and 178 kW (242 hp) respectively for a range of 360 and 500 kilometers

The Ariya 4WD e-4ORCE is offered in three variants with a choice of the same two batteries and a power output of 279, 306 or 394 hp. With dual engine and all-wheel drive, the ranges are 340, 460 and 400 kilometers.

More legroom for all occupants
Inside the Ariya, there is more legroom for all occupants thanks to the new electric architecture and slim-profile seats.

The cockpit has a minimalist design and blends in with the door panels. The most important controls of the air conditioning system are touch-sensitive and only appear in the center of the dashboard when the vehicle is switched on.

Under the center part of the dashboard is a folding tray that provides a folded table to turn the interior into a mobile office. A really clever idea.
