The small-series Midsummer model developed jointly by Morgan and Pininfarina is a very exclusive roadster.

The Morgan Motor Company and Pininfarina S.p.A. proudly present the open-top two-seater Midsummer. The two traditional coachbuilders have created a roadster with classic Morgan lines, standard drive and modern design influences. The production run will remain at 50 units.

Car with cult potential
The new model is based on Morgan's CX aluminum platform and is powered by a turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine via an 8-speed automatic transmission. Massimo Fumarola, CEO Morgan Motor, says: "We are incredibly proud to introduce the special edition Midsummer, which celebrates two centuries of coachbuilding while representing the embodiment of Morgan's core values and great craftsmanship." Fumarola is also happy about the collaboration with Pininfarina. The Italian company has not only contributed the latest bodywork trends, but also fresh design ideas. And Giuseppe Bonollo, Director Sales & Marketing Pininfarina, adds: "This remarkable collaboration combines Morgan's 115-year history with Pininfarina's almost 95 years of design experience. The upcoming small series Midsummer, a first in series car construction, will achieve cult status."

Summer solstice
With the model name Midsummer, Morgan recalls the height of summer on the one hand and Midsummer Hill, the hill behind the town of Malvern where the Morgan factory is located, on the other. Pininfarina gave the car the nickname Fuoriserie, which was also intended to indicate the unique status of this model.
To ensure that each of the 50 Midsummer models created is unique, every customer has the opportunity to realize personal wishes together with the designers. Production has already started and the car will celebrate its public premiere at the Festival of Speed in Goodwood in July.
