Morgan's extremely idiosyncratic three-wheeler has been around since the brand's beginnings in 1909, and will soon be followed by a completely new version, albeit still in prototype guise for the time being.
As Morgan announces, the name of the newcomer is also not yet determined. Certainly, however, the adventurous vehicle will be technically advanced, but will retain all the features loved by customers.
Definitive details on the engine are not yet given. In any case, a naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine from Ford will be used.
Driving fun of the special on three wheels
The previous three-wheeler was built from 2011. The last units are currently being built at the plant in Malvern, England, before production of the new model starts. Nothing is known yet about the exact start of production and first deliveries.
Morgan Chairman and CEO Steve Morris: "The new model is designed from the ground up. The teams of engineers and designers have incorporated all the knowledge and experience gained from the previous model. We're looking forward to the new version."
