The new Morgan Plus Six, which will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show (until March 17), also fits seamlessly into the company's history - and yet everything about the latest roadster is different than before.

Changes under the sheet metal
The Plus Six comes onto the market with a design that has hardly changed since the 1930s. The real innovations are hidden beneath the 3.90-meter-long body. There, numerous technology premieres are used that actually mutate the Plus Six into a modern sports car despite its antique-looking design.

Turbo six-cylinder as drive
The Plus Six is the first model in the company's history to be powered by a turbocharged engine. The developers chose a BMW turbo six-cylinder as the powerplant, which was adapted by the company's engineers for its new task. The lively 335 hp is transmitted to the rear wheels by an 8-speed automatic.

The interior, still sporty and narrow, has been redesigned and surprises with an LCD screen arranged so as not to distract the driver. The redesigned doors offer improved side impact protection and space for speakers under the leather trim.

Aluminum and ash chassis
The backbone of the new Plus Six is a completely new chassis design consisting of a mixture of aluminum and English ash. Thanks to this development, torsional stiffness has been improved by 100 percent compared with the predecessor chassis.
In addition to the conventional roadster top, the touring version comes to customers with a lightweight hardtop.

The basic version costs at least 77,995 pounds in the UK. Prices for Switzerland and equipment are available on request abtautomobile.ch wisental-garage.ch
