Mitsubishi: ASX further digitalized
DYNAMIC APPEARANCE Mitsubishi presents the new edition of the ASX mid-size SUV with brand-typical design, advanced digitalization and connectivity as well as proven full and mild hybrid drives.
The new Mitsubishi ASX has been given the brand's signature Dynamic Shield front design, which is intended to emphasize the vehicle's SUV characteristics. The ASX (Active Sports X-over) also introduces new infotainment technology and mobile apps with integrated Google. This was developed as part of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. The new model is based on the alliance's CMF-B platform. The whole thing is supported by the Mitsubishi Service Commitment, which includes a five-year factory warranty with a mileage of 100,000 kilometers.
Design and equipment
The ASX is available in five colors in all trim levels. In the Intense and Instyle equipment lines, the Onyx Black Metallic roof can also be selected in combination with any other color option. Getting in and out of the vehicle is made easier by the high hip point. Inside, there is a choice of fabric and leather upholstery depending on the trim level, while heated seats and a heated steering wheel ensure comfort in the winter months. The rear bench seat can be moved by 16 centimetres, offering even more space and stowage in the trunk.
The ASX is equipped with Google built-in and the My Mitsubishi Motors app, which gives users access to real-time diagnostics, remote control and vehicle search, among other things. With Google integration, the driver has access to apps and services such as Google Maps and more on Google Play directly inside the vehicle.
Electrified drives
The ASX offers full and mild hybrid drives as well as efficient combustion engines. In addition to the 1-liter petrol engine (91 hp, 160 Nm), the 1.3-liter mild hybrid (140 hp, 260 Nm) and the 1.6-liter hybrid with two electric motors and an automatic multi-mode gearbox are also available. The full hybrid delivers 105 kW (143 PS) in the system. Production of the new Mitsubishi ASX will start in May at the Renault plant in Valladolid, Spain.
