Mercedes-Maybach: The S-Class for gourmets

Compared with the long-wheelbase version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the wheelbase of the Mercedes-Maybach has been increased by 18 centimeters, to the full benefit of the rear passengers.

Thanks to executive seats and the chauffeur package, the rear area thus becomes a comfortable place to work or rest. In addition to the comfort of the space, the noise level is also impressive. It is extremely low thanks to active driving noise compensation.

The exclusive atmosphere in the rear of the Maybach is rounded off by the silverplated champagne goblets. A special insert in the storage compartment and two holders in the center console secure the goblets even during the journey.

Eight or twelve cylinders as required
Mercedes-Maybach has two drive variants ready for the new S-Class. The S 580 version with V8 engine and mild hybridization shares the powertrain with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (700 Nm, 523 hp).

In addition, the Maybach has the 6-liter V12 S 680 variant with 900 Nm and 612 hp. All-wheel drive is standard in both, and thanks to the optional rear-wheel steering, the S-Class feels almost as manageable as a compact car in the city.

Two-tone paint in ten combinations
The exclusive appearance of the Maybach S-Class includes an optional two-tone paint finish with a filigree separating line. There is a choice of ten color combinations. The new Digital Light headlamp technology offers new functions such as the projection of auxiliary markings or warning symbols onto the road.

The base prices of the Maybach models are 209,600 (S 580) and 254,900 Swiss francs (S 680).
