The off-road C-Class All-Terrain will celebrate its world premiere at the IAA in Munich in early September.

The E-Class led the way, and now the C-Class is following suit. The All-Terrain version gives the C-Class Estate around 40 millimeters more ground clearance, all-wheel drive as standard, and two off-road driving programs for driving on light terrain.

The off-road design elements also include the independent radiator grille, the special bumpers, the underride guard and the wheel arch linings in dark gray matt.

C-Class All-Terrain
The new all-terrain version of the C-Class is as elegant as a station wagon, but also ready for unpaved roads.

Longer, wider and more ground clearance
Compared with the normal Estate, the All-Terrain grew by four millimeters to 4755 millimeters, and because of the wheel arch linings the width increased by 21 millimeters to 1841 millimeters.

The increased ground clearance of around 40 millimeters has also made the vehicle somewhat taller. However, the capacity and variability of the cargo area have remained the same. The load capacity is 490 to 1510 liters.

Swiss sales launch before the end of the year
As in the sedan, the drive is provided by four-cylinder engines with 48-volt mild hybrid technology. Also integrated are the adaptive MBUX infotainment system and the new generation of driving assistance systems, for example ESP trailer stabilization, which can intervene automatically in critical situations above a speed of 65 km/h.

The newcomer will reach the dealers this year. The Swiss prices are not yet fixed.
