The first version of the EQA 250 will be offered with a front-mounted 140 kW asynchronous motor.
While the EQS and EQE are designed completely independently and will be available with equipment elements such as the futuristic hyperscreen cockpit, the EQA still looks relatively conventional.
And that's no wonder, since the sheet metal and glazing are largely identical to the GLA. However, they look calmer and tidier on the newcomer.
Responsiveness promises a real fun car
The first version will be the EQA 250, which will be launched with a front-mounted asynchronous motor with 140 kW (190 hp). Its maximum torque is 375 Newton meters, and the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 8.9 seconds, with the speed being limited at 160 km/h.
The range of the EQA 250 is said to be 426 kilometers, but this is only likely to be achieved under favorable circumstances. After all, it can be charged with up to 100 kW. And despite its high weight, the EQA's spontaneous response should make it a real fun car.
Standard navigation with Electric Intelligence
The standard navigation system with Electric Intelligence contributes to the effortless handling of the EQA in everyday life. It calculates the fastest route to the destination. On the basis of ongoing range simulations, necessary charging stops are taken into account, as are numerous other factors such as topography and weather.
The system can also respond dynamically to changes in the traffic situation and personal driving behavior, for example
Backlit decorative surfaces and modern fabrics
In the interior, the EQA closely follows the GLA. For the EQA, the Stuttgart-based company has optimized colors and material selection with optional rose gold trim, backlit decorative surfaces, and modern fabrics and leather qualities.
The look, which is as elegant as it is futuristic, could certainly convince one or two customers to opt for the electric car.
Progressive design and simple intuitive operation
Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz AG, responsible for Mercedes-Benz Cars Sales: "Progressive design and intuitive operation are two highlights of the EQA. With it, we are offering our customers for the first time a fully electric Mercedes in the compact segment that is suitable for everyday use and has a long range. This makes the new EQA another important vehicle on the road to electrification of all our vehicle segments."
