Mercedes-Benz: The star is back on the hood 🎥

MODEL CARE Mercedes has revised its electric flagship EQS. The saloon comes with a longer range, new radiator grille, a vertical star on the front and even more comfort in the rear.

In Mercedes' electric models, innovations have been incorporated into series production independently of model updates and faster than ever before. Now the EQS saloon is once again receiving an extensive update package. The electric flagship comes with up to 82 kilometers more range, a new radiator grille with chrome applications and a vertical Mercedes star on the hood. And in future, customers will be able to cover even more kilometers without stopping to charge. Thanks to the new 118-kWh battery, the range of the EQS 450 4matic increases from 717 to 799 kilometers, and the EQS 450+ even exceeds the 800-kilometer mark.

The EQS electric saloon arrives with numerous improvements in driving performance and comfort.

1700 kilogram trailer load

The towing capacity for the EQS and EQE saloons with 4Matic has been increased from 750 to 1700 kilograms. This puts them on a similar level to the SUV derivatives and means they can also tow a horse trailer, for example.

EQS models equipped with the Rear Comfort Plus package with executive seats now have a special slanted footrest on the right-hand side in the rear compartment, which significantly increases comfort. The front passenger seat can also be folded forward and the backrest in the rear can be adjusted up to 38 degrees. This provides more space.

Huge screen as standard

The MBUX hyperscreen is now standard in the EQS. Three displays merge almost seamlessly into one another, creating a 141-centimetre-wide screen band. In addition, a heat pump fitted as standard increases climate comfort and efficiency. The waste heat from the electric drive and the high-voltage battery can be used to heat the interior. Many updates are made with the help of over-the-air technology. These include Dolby Atmos, the YouTube web app and a digital travel guide.

The new EQS can be ordered from April 25.
