Mercedes-AMG: Super, light and all-wheel drive 🎥

STRONG COMEBACK The new edition of the Mercedes SL returns under the AMG flag with a V8 biturbo engine, all-wheel drive and a classic soft top. The luxurious performance roadster is designed as a 2+2 seater.

From 0 to 100 km/h, the SL takes 3.6 seconds. Enjoy the sound.

The history of the SL began almost 70 years ago in Stuttgart. Shortly after its debut in 1952, the Mercedes 300 SL collected successes in rows on the racetracks. The racer was followed in 1954 by the 300 SL production sports car, better known as the "Gullwing".

Long wheelbase, short overhangs, long hood

Philipp Schiemer, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG: "The new SL combines the sporty genes of the original SL with the Driving Performance typical of AMG. The defining features of the body design are the long wheelbase, the short overhangs, the long engine hood and the passenger compartment set back. The interior transforms the tradition of the first 300 SL roadster into the modern era."

Fine materials and perfect workmanship underscore the demand for maximum comfort. With 2+2 seats, the new interior concept offers more space and functionality than before. The MBUX infotainment system offers a choice of several display styles and modes.

Aluminum spaceframe with self-supporting structure
The lightweight composite aluminum chassis consists of an aluminum spaceframe with a self-supporting structure. The aim was to present the driving performance typical of AMG with a focus on lateral and longitudinal dynamics, while at the same time guaranteeing great comfort and safety.

In addition, the SL's aerodynamics meet the complex requirements for driving stability, drag, cooling and wind noise. Opening and closing the fabric soft top takes only around 15 seconds and is possible up to a speed of 60 km/h.

4-liter V8 turbo gasoline engine produces a powerful 476 or 585 hp
Available in two variants, the 4-liter V8 turbo gasoline engine produces a brawny 476 or 585 hp, delivers maximum torque of 700 or 800 Nm and is combined with the 9-speed AMG Seedshift automatic transmission. The car needs just 3.6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h, and the top speed is 315 km/h. Also making their debut in the SL 63 4Matic are the adaptive suspension with active, hydraulic roll stabilization and rear-wheel steering.
