Elegant and very sporty: A35 with 306 hp, dual-clutch transmission, variable all-wheel drive and stiffened body.

Since its market launch in 2013, the compact AMG A45 4-Matic model has sold better than expected. With 360 hp, and even 381 hp after the 2015 facelift, the compact 4×4 sports car was in a class of its own in terms of driving performance.
With the relaunch of the Mercedes A-Class, the time has now come for a new entry-level AMG model. It is called the A35 and is equipped with a new turbo engine that delivers a maximum torque of 400 Nm between 3000 and 4000 rpm and makes 306 hp available at 5800 rpm. Via the DCT 7G Speedshift dual-clutch transmission, the engine power is distributed to all four wheels in a fully variable manner.

Five driving programs are available
Five dynamic modes allow the driver to select the desired gear. The 1550-kilogram power compact with Launch Control accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. AMG quotes a standard consumption of 7.4 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 169 g/km. The base price for the A35, which will be launched in the next few days, is 59,200 Swiss francs. Various packages are available as options - such as the aerodynamics kit with enlarged front splitter and attached rear spoiler. According to the developers, the new A35 should provide huge driving pleasure, especially on winding roads.
