Mercedes-AMG: G 63 for the anniversary as Edition 55

For 55 years, AMG has been synonymous worldwide with special automotive performance, exclusivity and distinctive driving dynamics. The G-Class has also enjoyed a unique position in the AMG portfolio for more than two decades, making it the king of off-road performance. This cult status makes the model the ideal ambassador to ring in the 55th anniversary of the performance brand.

From 1967 to the present day, AMG has grown from a two-man company into a modern development site with its own engine manufacturing facility for performance vehicles and more than 2,000 qualified employees. The same applies to the G-Class, which has remained true to itself over the course of its career for more than four decades. And it is to continue together in the direction of electromobility.

With particularly exquisite equipment details, the Mercedes AMG G 63 Edition 55 special model underscores AMG's claim to offer customers the highest possible level of individuality and exclusivity. The special model is available in Obsidian Black metallic or G-Manufaktur Opalite White paint. Contrast is provided by the 22-inch forged wheels in matt tantalum gray and the AMG Night package.

The interior is characterized by the contrast of black and red. Stainless steel door sill trims with red illuminated AMG lettering greet the driver. The performance steering wheel in microfiber Dinamica also commemorates the birthday with the AMG and 55 badges. The powertrain of the Mercedes AMG G 63 consists of a 4-liter V8 biturbo engine (850 Nm, 585 hp), 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (40:60) with three differential locks.

The exclusive special model can be ordered now with the AMG Edition 55 equipment package at a surcharge of 21,000 Swiss francs.
