The AMG GT Black Series shows the genes of the successful GT3 from racing in many details.

And the new model already documents this visually. According to the manufacturer, the aerodynamic measures and the considerably enlarged radiator mouth are due to technical requirements.

The aero elements provide extreme downforce or an optimized drag coefficient; the rear wing and diffuser as well as the front splitter can be individually adjusted depending on the usage profile. The same applies to the wheel camber of the active coilover suspension.

Black Series
With 730 hp, the orange racer is the most powerful AMG of all time with its four-liter V8.

Sprint to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds
The AMG GT Black Series reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds, and less than six seconds later the 200 km/h (124 mph) mark is crossed; the top speed is 325 km/h (124 mph).

The familiar 4.0-liter V8 engine from the AMG modular system, which has been extensively revised here, is responsible for the power explosion.

730 hp and torque of 800 Nm
The measures to increase performance include a flat crankshaft and larger-dimensioned exhaust turbochargers with anti-friction bearings. At 7200 rpm, the cut-off speed is even higher than in the other AMG V8 engines, while output rises to 730 hp and maximum torque to 800 Nm.

Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Traction can be adjusted in nine stages.

Racing ambience in the interior
The carbon-fiber shells, which are secured with four-point seat belts, offer plenty of lateral support without constricting the driver and front passenger. In front of them is a lavishly equipped dashboard with microfiber applications and contrasting stitching that gives the car a racing ambience. The doors feature pull tabs instead of regular handles. The purchase price of 379,000 Swiss francs should encourage some owners to take extra care.
