765LT
Ultra-light wheels and Pirelli tires reduce the weight of the McLaren 765LT by 22 kilograms.

Already on existing models such as the new 765LT, the drive to reduce weight should put McLaren in the best possible position to implement powertrain advances such as hybridization and electrification.

Vehicle mass enemy of performance
The intention to further minimize weight comes with the launch of a new limited edition supercar that features an 80 kilogram weight reduction with a dry weight of just 1229 kilograms.

McLaren CEO Mike Flewitt: "Vehicle mass is the enemy of performance, whether a vehicle has a conventional combustion engine or a fully electrified powertrain, so winning the weight race is our absolute priority."

The 765LT opens a fourth chapter in the Longtail story, embodying characteristics that have their roots in the legendary F1 Longtail race cars of the 1990s.

Carbon fiber dominates the interior of the McLaren 765LT in the seats and center tunnel.

Carbon fiber for exterior body parts
The minimized weight is the result of a meticulous program of changes from the inside out. The 765LT makes extensive use of carbon fiber, including for the exterior body panels, aerodynamic components and inside the vehicle, for the seats and center tunnel.

Other measures include lightweight side windows and motorsport-style polycarbonate glazing at the rear of the car, with Formula One-quality materials used for the transmission.

The titanium-molded exhaust system enables a weight saving of 40 percent.

Sprint to 200 mph in 7.2 seconds
With its low weight and a 765-hp twin-turbo V8 engine, the 765LT accelerates from a standstill to 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds. The maximum torque is 800 newton meters (Nm).

Only 765 individually numbered examples of the new Longtail will be built worldwide to customer order. Prices are available on request.
