Mazda: This is how the electric MX-30 drives 🎥
CAR WITH CHARACTER With its first electric car, the MX-30, Mazda is once again doing its own thing. Without a doubt, the designers have demonstrated a stylistically confident hand in the design of their electric crossover. The all-electric MX-30 has the mass and proportions of the internal combustion CX-30. The 4.40-meter-long MX-30 with its solid as well as elegantly shaped body, over [...]

The 4.40-meter-long MX-30 with its solid as well as elegantly shaped body, over which a coupé-like roof swings, has the mass and proportions of the CX-30 combustion engine.
The most striking difference are the rear doors, which open in opposite directions and do not have a B-pillar. With their opening of almost 90 degrees, they allow easy access to the rear.
Floating center console is an eye-catcher
The interior is one of the highlights of the MX-30, not only because the cockpit, dashboards and materials are of a high quality and everything feels good. The floating center console is an eye-catcher: It houses the shift knob and the rotary pushbutton for the 8.8-inch infotainment screen in the dashboard and another 7-inch touchscreen for the climate control.
Range of up to a good 200 kilometers
The concept of a modest battery size arose from the consideration of not burdening the MX-30 with the extremely CO2-heavy production of a large battery. With the side effect that the battery only weighs 310 kilograms on the total weight of just under 1.7 tons. But the juice is still enough for 237 kilometers.
Hits 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds
The small battery is joined by a matching electric motor with an output of 107 kW (145 hp). This allows the front-wheel-drive Mazda to accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds. For reasons of efficiency, the speed is limited to 140 km/h. The typical acceleration for an electric car is catapulting the crossover out of its stance. The typical acceleration of an electric car catapults the crossover with its 271 Nm of torque from a standstill forward silently and without a hitch.
Emergency brake assistant with crossing function
The MX-30 is no different from the CX-30 in terms of safety. The emergency brake assistant not only detects pedestrians and cyclists, but also warns of an impending collision with an additional intersection function when turning. The new lane-keeping assistant now keeps the car in its lane even without markings.
The MX-30 is a case in itself, a particularly pleasant one. So much fun in the car is available from 36,990 francs.
