Some versions with i-Activ AWD all-wheel drive also feature off-road mode - for driving on uneven, slippery surfaces.
Decorative elements in silver on the bumpers
Features of the Newground version include Silver trim elements on the front and rear bumpers and door moldings as well as black exterior mirror trim, Yellow Green trim on the radiator grille and 19-inch Black Metallic alloy wheels with Diamond Cut.
Inside, there are suede seats with decorative stitching in Yellow Green - this color is also found on the surrounds of the air vents
Sporty touch in Brilliant Black on radiator grille
The Homura variant has a sporty touch in Brilliant Black on the grille and surround, lower bumper areas, wheel arches, door moldings and exterior mirror trim.
The 19-inch alloy wheels are in Black Metallic, and the radiator grille has red decorative elements. The black leather seats, steering wheel, shift knob and door panels are finished with red decorative stitching.
Characteristic shapes of Kodo design
The Signature model is monochromatic on the outside, which emphasizes the shapes characteristic of the Kodo design. The glossy finish of the 19-inch Silver alloy wheels further highlights the metallic effect of the body. The interior features soft Nappa leather and the exclusive real wood textures.
Console with integrated inductive charging station
The interior of the CX-5 now features an inductive charging station for compatible smartphones integrated into the center console. The convertible trunk floor and the loading sill are at the same height to make loading and unloading easier.
The version Newground is also equipped with these trunk floor with waterproof lining on one side to facilitate the transport of dirty or wet items.
Current generation of vehicle architecture
The new model features Mazda's current generation SKYACTIV vehicle architecture. Here, the body structure, suspensions and seats have been further developed to further improve ride comfort and reduce fatigue at the steering wheel. Driving noise has also been significantly reduced, especially on uneven surfaces such as gravel roads.
