Fine materials such as wood and a new suede-like plastic give the Japanese car increased value. You feel at home inside from the very first kilometer.

The powertrain and chassis have also been optimized, so that the Mazda6 does not have to hide from more expensive competitors.
With the redesigned headlight, grille and apron components, the designers have given the family car a fresh face. The sedan and station wagon have also been extensively but gently renovated at the rear. The new 17- and 19-inch alloy wheels stand out in the side view. More profound are the modifications to the interior. With the exception of the steering wheel and shift lever, all parts are new.

Sport Wagon in two equipment versions
In the estate country of Switzerland, Mazda offers the Sport Wagon in two equipment versions, each of which is available as a front-wheel drive or 4×4 model. Prices range from 37,600 to 51,600 Swiss francs. The sedan is available from 43,500 francs exclusively with front-wheel drive and in the Revolution version.

The four-cylinder is a pleasant source of power
Two gasoline and two diesel engines are available. The Skyactiv units have been adapted to the new emissions legislation and equipped with slightly increased output. The 2-liter gasoline engine delivers 165 hp, the 2.5-liter version 194 hp. The large four-cylinder engine proves to be a pleasant source of power on the road, but remains modest in terms of temperament - probably also because it makes two cylinders idle under light load to save gasoline.

Diesel accelerates briskly from low revs
The 2.2-liter diesel is much more powerful: With its 445 Nm - compared with 258 Nm for the gasoline engine - it accelerates impressively from low revs. And that makes for great driving pleasure in everyday traffic. The first test drives also showed that the new Mazda6 has no problem dealing with bad roads, even potholes.
