Return to motorsport soon?
The new Maserati is called MC20. Why? MC is the abbreviation for Maserati Corse (which stands for racing). The number 20 refers to 2020 - the year in which a new era in Maserati's more than 100-year history is to begin. With the MC20, Maserati plans to return to the world of motorsport very soon.

Version with pure electric drive
Since the brand has not developed its own engines since 1998, Maserati is proud that the new twin-turbo V6 with 630 hp was designed in Modena. This should enable the car to sprint to 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds and reach over 325 km/h.
There will also be a version with purely electric drive. It is expected to offer a range of around 380 kilometers. The top speed here is over 310 km/h, the sprint to 100 km/h is to be completed in 2.8 seconds, and 200 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
Monocoque comes from partner Dalara
Air intakes on the sides and on the hood cool the engine and supply the intercooler with fresh air. There is also a discreet rear spoiler and a large diffuser. The floor is fully clad.
The monocoque is made of carbon and was developed together with partner Dallara. It was developed from the outset for all three planned body styles: Coupé, convertible and the future electric version. You can also see details in the gallery.
Leather, carbon or option Alcantara
The cockpit design has focused on the driving functions - nothing should distract from driving. There are only a few sharp corners and edges. Dark colors dominate to avoid reflections on the windshield.
There is a 10.25-inch instrument display and a central display of the same size. The start button is also located on the steering wheel. In addition to a version with black leather and carbon inlays, an Alcantara variant is also available.
More new models in preparation
The start of production is planned for the end of the current year. Orders are being accepted now. There are no details on the price yet.
The market launch of the MC20 will be accompanied by the presentation of other new Maserati models that are scheduled to go into series production in the coming years. One can be curious.
