With the market launch of the MC20 in September, Maserati aims to underscore its sporty DNA.

To celebrate the 80th anniversary of this historic achievement (please also see the gallery), Maserati returned to Sicily with an MC20 prototype.

Some of the roads where the history of the Targa Florio was written were driven, such as the track where the famous Floriopoli grandstands are located.

Road and track tests
Development of the new super sports car involves numerous tests under various operating conditions. With the aim of gathering data and information for the final fine-tuning.

After an initial series of tests carried out using the dynamic simulator at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, the time has now come for test drives on the road and on the racetrack.

Engine from own development
The MC20 marks the beginning of a new era for the Italian sports car manufacturer, both in terms of design and technology.

The MC20 is also the first model on which the new engine, developed and built in-house by Maserati and full of technological innovations, is installed.
