Series and M model
„The concept and development of the BMW 8 Series and the M model go hand in hand. Accordingly, the future BMW M8 will build on the genes of the 8 Series and feature racetrack capability as well as a significant plus in dynamics, precision and agility. This will meet the highest demands of our customers," prophesizes Frank van Meel, Chairman of the Board of Management of BMW M GmbH.
Racing version in planning
Also being developed is a racing derivative for BMW Motorsport's return to Le Mans - the BMW M8 GTE. Although no pictures can be shown yet, it is said to look "spectacular." A roll-out is planned for before the end of the first half of the year, with the first race entry scheduled for the 24-hour race at Daytona at the end of January 2018.
