Lotus Emira with AMG power
FIRST EDITION The four-cylinder version of the Lotus Emira is now available to order in Europe. The lightweight sports car can be ordered with touring or sports suspension and with various high-performance tires.
With the four-cylinder version of the Emira First Edition, Lotus is adding another drive variant to its sports car range. The 2-liter turbo engine is provided by technology partner Mercedes-AMG. It offers a balanced ratio of power, torque and efficiency across the entire operating range. With maximum torque of 430 Nm between 3000 and 5500 rpm and maximum output of 360 hp at 6600 rpm, it ensures an authentic Lotus sports car experience as well as pleasant everyday driving comfort. With the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission used for the first time at Lotus, the Emira also enables fast gear changes.
Larger model range
Dave Gilbert, Executive Director of Product Strategy at Lotus, comments: "With the four-cylinder Emira, we are making the sports car range even more attractive. The new car sets standards in terms of efficiency and user-friendliness, while offering the performance and agility that our customers expect." The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 275 km/h. Customers can choose between Tour and Sport suspension settings. The Sport suspension increases the car's responsiveness and improves its capabilities on the racetrack, especially in conjunction with Michelin's Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
Brand-typical agility
The lightweight aluminum body contributes to the characteristic handling characteristics. The chassis, with its high torsional rigidity, promotes immediate, precise response, and the racing-derived aluminum double wishbone suspension on all four wheels further enhances the Emira's agility and responsiveness. The electronic stability control improves dynamic performance and safety in difficult road conditions. The price of the four-cylinder Emira starts at 102,480 Swiss francs.
