Land Rover: Defender 130 comes as a top dog 🎥
THERE'S ALWAYS MORE The 130 from Land Rover is the third variant in the model series. The eight-seater off-roader stretches to 5.36 meters in length and offers space in abundance.
The longest Defender in history has been lengthened by just over 34 centimeters with a larger rear overhang. This creates more space in the interior for the third row of seats, giving the SUV a 2+3+3 seating configuration.
Three adults have space in the back
The cargo area also benefits from the expanded dimensions and now offers up to 2516 liters of storage space. However, this is only the case if you opt for the five-seater configuration of the 130, fold down the rear seat and load it up to the roof. If eight seats are on board and all are occupied by people, the load volume is 389 liters.
According to Land Rover, the third row of seats can comfortably accommodate up to three adults, with generous headroom on all eight seats. Each row of seats has its own ventilation system and there is optional four-zone automatic climate control, which is only available on the Defender 130.
Elimination of nuisance nanoparticles
Standard features on the Defender 130 include a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and an 11.4-inch display in the instrument cluster. Making its debut in a Defender is the Cabin Air Purification Plus system, which uses patented technology to reduce and eliminate nuisance nanoparticles that eliminate odors and viruses.
New color combinations and trim levels are available exclusively for the three-row Defender.
Gasoline or diesel depending on demand
The Defender 130 is powered by one electrified gasoline or two electrified diesel engines - a V8 or PHEV-powered model is not available for now.
The MHEV models D250, D300 and P400 are available. All powertrains are 3.0-liter six-cylinder units, and the respective numbers of the models describe the performance, as always.
Every Defender 130 is equipped with Land Rover's all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission developed by ZF. In addition, air suspension and the Terrain Response system are always on board.
Tractive force of up to 3000 kilograms
The Defender 130 can tow up to 3000 kilograms and has a maximum payload of 800 kilograms in the five-seater configuration. Those who want to use the eight-seater Defender as an off-road vehicle should know that the maximum roof load is 300 kilograms (when the vehicle is stationary) or 168 kilograms (when the vehicle is moving).
The model is offered in SE, X-Dynamic SE, X-Dynamic HSE, First Edition and X versions. Prices in Switzerland start at 107,200 Swiss francs
