There are also sequential turn signals. Under the hood, new inline six-cylinder diesels and gasoline engines with 48-volt mild hybrid technology move in.
The R-Dynamic can be ordered as a new model version.
All models with eight-speed automatic
The two new 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engines D250 and D300 replace the SD4 and SDV6. They deliver 249 hp and 570 Newton meters of torque or 300 hp and 650 Nm. They are designed as mild hybrids. They are joined by the two gasoline engines P300 (four-cylinder) with 300 hp and 400 Nm and P360 (six-cylinder) with 360 hp and 500 Nm.
All models feature an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new all-wheel drive system Intelligent All-Wheel Drive permanently adjusts the torque distribution between the front and rear axles to the current conditions.
Camera-based Clear Sight Ground View
The same applies to the advanced Terrain Response 2 system with Wat mode. In addition, the Clear Sight Ground View offers a camera-supported view of what is happening directly in front of the front wheels. The head-up display has also been further developed.
Vehicle updates come "over the air
In the interior, the center console, steering wheel and selector lever have been redesigned. Modified rear seats improve comfort.
The air vents in the second row moved from the B-pillars to the center console. Other features on board include two LTE modems that also allow vehicle updates "over the air," air ionization, tablet holders with USB ports, and the 4G Wi-Fi hotspot can connect up to eight devices.
Very importantly, the Discovery can hook up to a towing capacity of up to 3.5 tons. And the advanced trailer assist makes rearward maneuvering an easy exercise.
