Lamborghini: Urus Performante is fastest SUV 🎥
RECORD With the Urus Performante, Lamborghini is once again raising the bar for driving dynamics. The new model impresses with its powerful appearance, which underscores the technology of the super sports car.
Ahead of its debut, the Lamborghini Urus Performante set a new record in the production SUV category on the Pikes Peak Hill Climb course. With multiple European hillclimb champion Simone Faggioli at the wheel, the Urus crossed the finish line at 4302 meters above sea level in 10:32 minutes, beating the previous record set in 2018 by around 18 seconds.
Improved cooling of the engine
An even sharper hood and bumper design underscores the supersport characteristics of the new Performante while maintaining the Urus' signature elegance.
The new front air intakes provide improved engine cooling and fully express the SUV's supercar heritage. Massive overweight is avoided by the extensive use of composite materials.
The new Performante is now 20 millimeters lower and its track is 16 millimeters wider. The carbon wheel arches arch over optional 23-inch or forged 22-inch alloy wheels with titanium bolts and specially developed Pirelli tires.
Trained athlete with more horsepower
The output of the V8 biturbo engine has been increased by 16 to 666 hp and its weight reduced by 47 kilograms, giving it a power-to-weight ratio of 3.2 kilograms per hp. It has a torque of 850 Nm. Torque distribution is optimized by a new differential.
For example, the new Urus accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and brakes to a halt from 100 km/h in 32.9 meters. With a top speed of 306 km/h, the car sets standards in terms of longitudinal dynamics.
