Lamborghini: Stromer cracks sound barrier of 1000 hp 🎥
ELECTRICIZED V12 The Revuelto, the successor to the Aventador, marks the beginning of the age of electrified drives for Lamborghini. With a V12 gasoline engine and three electric motors, the 1,000-horsepower mark is immediately exceeded.
To mark the company's 60th anniversary, Lamborghini presents the newly developed Revuelto. It is the first model with plug-in hybrid drive, known at Lambo as the High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). In the Revuelto, the interaction of the newly developed 6.5-liter V12 with three electric motors produces a maximum system output of 746 kW (1015 hp). For the first time, Lamborghini is also combining a V12 with a dual-clutch transmission in the Revuelto.
Even more agile than its predecessor
Carbon fibers are the most important structural material. They are used in the monocoque and most other parts of the body. Thanks to the excellent power-to-weight ratio achieved as a result, the new car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and achieves a top speed beyond 350 km/h.
Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer at Lamborghini: "The Revuelto takes a significant step forward compared to its predecessor, especially in terms of feedback and responsiveness, and always offers an absolutely authentic and emotional driving experience."
Proportions show the way to the future
The Revuelto remains true to the exceptional Lamborghini design DNA. Its shape harks back to the legendary V12 sports cars, while the new proportions point the way to the future. Elements from aviation harmonize with the muscle that begins at the front of the vehicle.
The top of the one-piece hood is shaped like a shark's mouth, conveying power and speed. The rear of the vehicle celebrates the V12 hybrid: the exposed longitudinal engine is visibly connected to the double hexagonal exhaust, and the exhaust system is framed by the rear wing and taillights above.
Weight distribution in the ratio 44:56
The designers drew inspiration from racing for the design and function of the steering wheel. Four rotary switches on the spokes of the steering wheel allow selection of the driving modes, height adjustment of the chassis and tilt of the rear spoiler. Turn signals and launch control can be operated at the touch of a button. Thanks to the new architecture, the Revuelto achieves the optimum weight distribution of 44:56 between the front and rear axles.
