The specialists from Sant'Agata have built a special car with the Huracán STO.

Even before Stephan Winkelmann takes the helm again at Lamborghini S.p.A. as successor to Stefano Domenicali (AutoSprintCH reported), the specialists from Sant'Agata are putting another new model on the wheels. And what a model it is!

Huracán
The Huracán STO's 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine delivers 640 hp and 565 Nm of torque.

Super sports car with road approval
The Huracán STO - which stands for Super Trofeo Omologata - is a road-legal supercar that benefits from the experience of the Lamborghini Squadra Corse racing division and from the Huracán Super Trofeo Evo and GT3 Evo models.

The engineers extract 565 Nm of torque from the 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine and a maximum output of 640 hp at 8000 rpm. The Huracán STO transmits this power to the asphalt via the rear wheels alone.

When the going gets tough, 100 km/h can be reached from a standstill in three seconds and 200 km/h in nine seconds. A top speed of 310 km/h is possible.

Lightweight material and direct steering
However, the new Huracán STO owes its extreme sportiness not only to the engine installed in front of the rear axle, but also to the use of lightweight materials, direct steering and aerodynamic efficiency.

The rear fenders and hood in particular have been optimized for racing. They ensure striking downforce and thus the best traction at extremely high speeds. The CCR-M carbon ceramic brake system comes from Brembo and is also used by the racing faction.

Carbon body, magnesium wheels
With around 75 percent of the body made of carbon and the wheels of magnesium, the Huracán STO weighs just over 1300 kilograms. The vehicle's agility is perfectly supported by the Lamborghini Veicolo Dinamica Integrata variable driving dynamics system, rear-wheel steering and torque vectoring traction control.

Titanium alloy safety cage
High-quality and lightweight materials such as carbon and Alcantara naturally also characterize the interior. The safety cage is made of a titanium alloy and is therefore 40 percent lighter than a steel version. The first deliveries can be expected in spring 2021 - at prices starting at 249,400 euros excluding taxes.
