The body of the SC20 was sanded down by hand by Lamborghini's experts. A tough job.
The customer's wishes were decisive in the development, and he was involved in the project from the very first sketches by the Lamborghini designers.
The common goal was to create a unique vehicle that explores design and performance boundaries and is able to combine aerodynamic solutions from motorsport with unprecedented lines and exclusive details.
Creativity combined with racing character
Mitja Borkert, Head of Design at Lamborghini: "Two years after the SC18 Alston, the SC20 was a new, fascinating challenge. The main sources of inspiration were the Diablo VT Roadster, the Aventador J, the Veneno Roadster and the Concept S: the result is a fusion of creativity and racing character."
Inspired by the Huracán GT3 EVO
The carbon fiber body of the SC20 has been hand-sanded and smoothed by Lamborghini's aerodynamics experts to achieve optimum airflow and thus maximum ride comfort even at high speeds.
The striking front splitter is framed by two fins, while the air intakes on the front hatch are inspired by the Huracán GT3 EVO. The profiled side panels again recall the look of the Essenza SCV12.
The muscular rear end is topped by a large carbon wing that can be adjusted to three positions: low, medium and high downforce.
Carbon instrument cluster cover
The SC20 boasts exclusive details, including custom-designed body colors based on the Bianco Fu (white) hue, accented with Blu Cepheus (blue).
This color tone is also found in the interior, alternating with Nero Cosmus (black) and Bianco Lea (white). The interior impresses with visible carbon fiber, which is used in the instrument cluster cover, rear panel, door panels, center tunnel, steering wheel details and monocoque.
The seat shells, which are upholstered in Alcantara and leather, are also made of carbon fiber. The door handles, on the other hand, are made of solid aluminum. The 3D-printed grilles of the interior ventilation system are worthy of special mention.
V12 naturally aspirated engine with 770 hp and 720 Nm
The naturally aspirated V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters, an output of 770 hp at 8500 rpm and a torque of 720 Nm at 6750 rpm, which is the flagship among Lamborghini's power units, is controlled by the optimized 7-speed ISR transmission (means Independent Shifting Rod).
All-wheel drive with an electronic center differential and Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear aluminum center-lock rims put the power to the pavement.
The price for the technical marvel on wheels is not known.
