Kia: The EV9 makes last secret laps
NO PARDON Kia's engineers forgive the EV9 nothing in secret tests. The tests include off-road passages including water crossings. In addition, the comfort tuning is adjusted on cobblestones.
The SUV was first unveiled as a concept vehicle at the Los Angeles Auto Show last year. The brand's new flagship is to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year and will not differ significantly in appearance from the nearly 4.95-meter-long study, which has a wheelbase of 3.10 meters.
Range of around 540 kilometers
Most recently, Kia spoke of a range of around 540 kilometers. Provided there is an appropriate charging station, it should be possible to recharge the battery for up to 100 kilometers within six minutes.
The SUV with three rows of seats is said to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in five seconds.
Front seats can be rotated 180 degrees
How much of the EV9 Concept's functional interior will be retained in series production remains to be seen. In the study, the front seats could be turned 180 degrees and the middle row folded down to form a table. The rear row can also be turned in the opposite direction to enjoy the view from the open tailgate.
In addition, the exhibit featured, among other things, camera-based exterior mirrors and electrically retractable roof rails, as well as doors that opened in opposite directions.
