Equipment as required and all-wheel drive
The Wrangler 4xe is only available as a four-door Unlimited. Customers can choose between the Sahara 4xe, Rubicon 4xe and special 80th Anniversary editions, as well as two all-wheel drive systems.
Various roof configurations such as soft top, hard top, electric soft top or dual top can be ordered. An eight-speed automatic transmission is used.
Alpine audio system with nine speakers
As standard, the Wrangler 4xe features the Uconnect 8.4 nav system with touchscreen, comprehensive connectivity and services for monitoring vehicle parameters via the My-Uconnect app.
The cockpit consists of a seven-inch TFT display. Also on board are an Alpine audio system with nine speakers and a 552-watt subwoofer, as well as ACC and a rearview camera (the Rubicon also has a front camera).
400 volt battery is fully charged for three hours
The charging port is located at the front left just before the driver's door. The 400-volt battery, which is installed under the rear seat (hence the Unlimted as the base), has a capacity of 17 kilowatt hours and can be fully recharged in three hours.
Along the way, the front motor-generator unit also generates power for the battery, replacing the alternator and starter. The second electric motor sits at the front in the transmission.
All three drives are connected upstream of the all-wheel drive system, so that the vehicle can also go off-road purely on electricity.
Partial leather seats are available in black or dark saddle
Inside, 4xe models feature premium cloth seats in black (Rubicon and Sahara) and optional partial leather seats in black or dark saddle. Black partial leather seats are offered on the 80th Anniversary special model. On the Rubicon, seats and trim feature Electric Blue stitching.
