Jeep: Renegade and Compass as e-hybrid 🎥
RENEGADE AND COMPASS New hybrid versions with front-wheel drive complement the plug-in hybrid 4xe variants in the compact Jeep models. These have accounted for more than 35 percent of Jeep sales in Switzerland to date.

With the Renegade e-Hybrid (gallery right) and Compass e-Hybrid (gallery left) hybrid versions available from March, Jeep is offering a new entry into its electrified SUV model range. The models complement the successful 4xe plug-in hybrids.
Antonella Bruno, Head of Jeep Europe, said, "Jeep Compass and Renegade e-Hybrid are increasing our sales momentum with more hybrid options for more European customers. The product expansion will continue this summer with the launch of the 4xe version of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee."
Emission-free cruising at lower speeds
The models' hybrid front-wheel drive system consists of a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine from the Global Small Engine family with an output of 130 hp (96 kW) and a maximum torque of 240 Nm, plus a 15 kW (20 hp), 55 Nm electric motor and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
In EV driving mode, the 48-volt electric motor can drive the wheels even when the combustion engine is switched off. With low power requirements, not only all-electric starting is possible, but also emission-free cruising at low speed.
Direct injection system with pressures up to 350 bar
The turbocharged engine operates with high compression and variable valve timing with Miller cycle, which significantly improves thermal efficiency. The direct injection system delivers pressures of up to 350 bar.
And of course the new hybrids are capable of recovering kinetic energy during braking with the Intelligent Brake System (e-coasting) and providing additional torque as needed (e-boosting). Crawling in low-speed traffic and parking can also be done purely electrically.
Special Upland model as a commitment to sustainability
The Upland special model underscores the brand's sustainability awareness by using alternative interior materials and more environmentally compatible paints. The Uconnect NAV infotainment system offers comprehensive connectivity with smartphone integration. Customers have access to a whole range of connected services via the My Uconnect app.
