The equipment of the off-road vehicles includes a charging cable for household sockets and, as an option, one for public charging stations. A Jeep easyWallbox is also available.
Top speed up to 200 km/h
The new Jeeps feature a hybrid solution that integrates the brand's technical layout and takes 4×4 capabilities to the next level. And all this with more power of up to 240 hp (177 kW).
Both combine a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine to power the front axle with an electric motor installed above the rear axle to drive the rear wheels.
Charging can be done while driving
The electric motor is fed by a battery with a capacity of 11.4 kilowatt hours, which can be recharged while driving or from an external power source.
The 4xe models accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in under eight seconds, reach a top speed of 130 kilometers per hour in pure electric mode and up to 200 kilometers per hour in hybrid mode.
In sport mode combustion engine and e-drive
When on the move, you can choose between Electric mode for urban driving, Hybrid mode for optimum system efficiency, and E-Save mode to conserve and charge the battery.
Other electrified driving features also include Sport mode, where the internal combustion engine and electric motor team up.
Displays for energy flow and driving history
Features include a new seven-inch TFT color display that provides specific information on electric driving, such as battery charge level, range in electric, combustion engine or combined mode.
The 8.4-inch color screen of the Uconnect infotainment system shows new displays for energy flow, driving history, for setting charging times and managing eSave mode, as well as various charging settings.
Engines of 190 or 240 hp and all-wheel
Both the Jeep Renegade 4xe and the Jeep Compass 4xe are available in Switzerland with all-wheel drive as Limited, S and Trailhawk (from 42,900 Swiss francs).
The system output is 190 hp (140 kW) or 240 hp (177 kW), depending on the version coupled with a new six-speed automatic transmission.
Battery state of charge monitoring
Specific to the 4xe models is the new My eCharge package, which assists with payment and use of public charging stations. Other functions for electric driving include monitoring of the battery charge status directly via the My Uconnect mobile app, which can also plan the charging process and climate control and shows the nearest charging stations.
Assistance systems ensure safety
The 4xe is equipped with the latest safety and assistance systems, including Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, Cruise Control and Traffic Sign Recognition (Renegade only) as well as parking sensors as standard.
Available safety features also include Blind Spot Assist, ParkView rearview camera with guidance lines, Automatic Park Assist for longitudinal and lateral parking, and Keyless Enter-N-Go.
The Renegade 4xe comes standard with a new drowsiness detection system, offered for the first time in a Jeep.
