The official launch in Switzerland is the coming weekend of May 7 and 8, 2021.
The facelift version of the Jeep Compass features improved surface quality, updated on-board technology and numerous innovations in design, safety and functionality.
The new model is again intended to unite Jeep's two souls, the off-road and the urban spirit. And, of course, the more than 80-year-old brand tradition is also part of it.
Striking improvement inside and outside
The changes at the front mainly involve the wider horizontal design elements, the new full-LED headlights and the fog lights now integrated into a grille structure.
The interior has also been redesigned and now comes with pronounced three-dimensionality, new technical details and numerous optional configurations for surfaces and seat covers. Another new feature is the full HD instrument display with a 26-centimeter screen diagonal.
Four drive combinations as required
The front wheels or all four wheels are driven by gasoline engines or plug-in hybrid systems. The 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine delivers 130 or 150 hp, each with a maximum torque of 270 Nm. These variants are combined with a manual transmission or dual-clutch automatic.
In the plug-in hybrid Compass 4xe versions, the gasoline engine is combined with an automatic torque converter and supplemented by a 44 kW electric motor that drives the rear wheels. This results in system outputs of 190 or 240 hp. The electric motor is fed by an 11 kWh battery, which enables an electric range of up to 43 kilometers.
The official launch in Switzerland is the weekend of May 7 and 8.
