90 years of innovation
Behind the F-Pace 90th Anniversary Edition is a history that spans nine decades of automotive excellence. The F-Pace has a significant place in this history, as it is the brand's first SUV. Jaguar's pioneering spirit dates back to the 1930s and gained momentum in the 1940s with the development of the XK engine. This was produced for 40 years and formed the basis for success in motorsport. The very first Jaguar was a two-seater roadster with great comfort. The first 240 examples with handcrafted aluminum bodies had the newly developed 3.4-liter inline six-cylinder XK with two overhead camshafts and 160 hp top performance under the hood. With a top speed of 193 km/h, the XK120 was the fastest production car in the world.
