Accompanied by powerful sound, the Englishman meanders through curves of all kinds.
With a further refined body and three engine variants, the new edition of the Jaguar F-Type will be arriving at dealerships next month. Typical of the English two-seater is that its proportions are impressive at first glance. With its timeless design, it looks sporty as a coupe and elegant as a convertible.
Expressive exhaust tailpipes
The new model is quickly recognizable by its refreshed front: The LED headlights are now horizontal and extremely narrow, and the radiator grille and side air intakes have become slightly larger.
Newly shaped alloy wheels and side vents are also part of the facelift look. The taillights have also been slimmed down.
Particularly attractive are the exhaust tailpipes, by which one can recognize the engine: The P300 with two-liter four-cylinder (400 Nm, 300 hp) comes with a large, centrally positioned tailpipe, the two V8 versions P450 (580 Nm, 450 hp) and P575 R (700 Nm, 575 Nm) with two double pipes on both sides. The V6 engine is no longer offered in Switzerland.
English elegance and sportiness
Inside, you'll find English elegance and sportiness: high-quality materials finished with attention to detail, a cutting-edge cockpit with a new 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, and sumptuous, sporty close-fitting seats that offer the best lateral support.
This lateral support is absolutely necessary when the journey takes you over winding roads. Then the F-Type is in its element: Accompanied by a powerful sound, the Englishman meanders through curves of all kinds with ease. The taut chassis and retuned steering ensure precise, safe driving dynamics.
Eight-cylinder engines are the big hitters
While the base model P300 is already very sporty to drive thanks to its lower weight, the two eight-cylinder models are of course the real winners. The 450 hp V8 represents a new performance variant that already offers very high driving dynamics potential.
As the top model, the P575 R confidently leads the model range: No one handles acceleration maneuvers more crisply than it, and because it comes with all-wheel drive as standard, traction is never lacking. The eight gears of the automatic transmission are sorted automatically or manually depending on the mood.
The leaps in engine performance on the F-Type range are also associated with considerable price differences. The P300 is available from 73,500 francs, the two V8 models P450 and P575 R cost from 105,400 and 140,900 francs. For the convertibles, an additional 7500 francs have to be calculated in each case.
