Ambitious drivers of the Jaguar F-Type can film their driving experiences with the world-first ReRun app and then share them with like-minded people. Simultaneously with the images recorded by the GoPro camera, key data such as speed, accelerator pedal position, gear selection, braking and G-forces or the steering angle are displayed by means of animated displays. To activate it, the smartphone only needs to be connected wirelessly to the GoPro camera and via USB interface to the infotainment system of the Jaguar F-Type. The performance data is transmitted directly from the vehicle's electronic control network to the ReRun app - allowing the data to be superimposed in real time. A special function examines the data specifically for certain peaks - such as a particularly high cornering speed or a particularly hard braking maneuver. The function can be seen impressively in a YouTube clip produced by Jaguar:
Swiss launch of the new F-Type range starts in Q1 2017, with prices starting at CHF 72,800. At prices starting at CHF 105,800, Jaguar is offering a 400 SPORT Edition limited to one year. The 3.0-liter V6 supercharged engine, which has been boosted to 294 kW (400 hp) for this variant, combines with a high-performance braking system, dynamic handling control and 20-inch wheels to create a highly dynamic package. Customers of the 400 SPORT can choose between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive; in both cases, the Quickshift eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential are standard.
