Jaguar: The I-Pace packs every hurdle with a whirring sound

Yes, the Jaguar IPace meets these requirements. Development of the model began four years ago. Because the specification was "uncompromising electric car," no consideration had to be given to existing platforms. As a result, the IPace is now perfectly balanced on its wheels, with a wheelbase of three meters and an overall length of just 4.68 meters.
The stiffest aluminum body of all models of the brand
At the same time, the engineers managed to give the IPace the stiffest aluminum body of all the brand's models - an important prerequisite for precise driving dynamics. And because the body weighs more than 600 kg, the I-Pace shows the family it comes from off-road. It can't and won't deny this DNA when wading through deep water and on inclines. And because the batteries in the vehicle floor bring the IPace's center of gravity massively down, this has a positive effect on handling in curves.
Just under 700 Newton meters of torque and 400 hp
The first test drive with the IPace over mountain roads, off-road and on a race track showed how well this also works in practice. The two 400 hp E-engines together deliver just under 700 Nm of torque to the axles from a standstill. But not even the figure of 4.8 seconds for the sprint from zero to 100 km/h really reflects the driving performance. You have to live with it.
But: Anyone who wants to buy the car must accept delivery by March 2019. The first allocation for Switzerland has been sold. Oh, and the price starts at 82,800 francs.
