JAC is a Chinese car manufacturer that has been building vehicles since 1964, from small cars to trucks. Since 2019, the passenger cars are now also available in Switzerland.
Garage Auto Kunz AG has been the brand's main Swiss importer since this year. The price of 29,989 francs for a fully equipped JAC e-S2 is definitely a fighting chance on the Swiss market and is probably already arousing the interest of some customers to enter the e-world. The only surcharge: If you want to change from the white standard color to another color, you will have to pay 800 francs extra.
Range up to 300 kilometers
The battery of the five-seater has an output of 85kW and thus brings a strength of 116 hp. According to the manufacturer, the JAC e-S2 has a range of 300 kilometers and can be charged to 80 percent within 50 minutes using rapid charging. Provided that the necessary power connection is available.
Condition of the car is monitored
The manufacturer JAC monitors the condition of each car via SIM card and detects technical problems in the vehicle, often before the driver can notice them. JAC is certainly not the only manufacturer to use this method, but it is definitely one of the only ones to communicate so openly about it.
Test car first, then buy
Auto Kunz AG offers various options for testing the JAC for a short or longer period. For example, in the form of a rental of three to twelve months for 26.30 francs per day. Everything included, except electricity. In addition, there is a free half-fare card with the SBB. So everyone can convince himself of the vehicle. And if you decide to use the JAC, 50 percent of the rental costs will be deducted from the purchase price.
Crossover for everyday use
The Chinese crossover is a car for everyday use. Thanks to its maneuverability, a 360-degree camera that can be switched on at any time at the push of a button, and parking sensors, the JAC e-S2 is an optimal vehicle for the city. The compact 4.13-meter short crossover masters small gaps and narrow passages without any problems and, to top it all off, is registered throughout Europe and Switzerland without any restrictions - CO2 free, that is!
The model is now available at Auto Kunz AG. And you can experience how it drives in the video.
