As with the body, the interior is primarily designed with a purpose in mind. Toggle switches and rotary controls in the center console and roof are clearly labeled and not too close together. The addition of winches, work lights and other accessories should also be made easier.
Functional, logical and user-friendly
Says design manager Toby Ecuyer, "When we started planning the Grenadier's interior, we were inspired by where switches are located for optimal use in modern airplanes, boats and even tractors: Those that are frequently needed are within easy reach, while the others are a bit farther away. The layout on the Grenadier is designed to be functional, logical and easy to use. The Grenadier is equipped with everything that is necessary - and nothing else."
Functionality and suitability for use
Advanced technologies have only been used where they serve functionality and suitability for use. The infotainment system is accessed via a 12.3-inch touchscreen display or a rotary control.
Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration allows users to rely on smartphone navigation that is always up to date. And with the Pathfinder function, drivers can program, track and record their route using waypoints where there are no more roads or paths.
Recaro seats offer ergonomic support
The Grenadier is built to last with durable surface materials throughout. Drain plugs in the rubberized bottom and wipeable pads make it easy to hose down the interior with water.
Water- and stain-resistant Recaro seats provide ergonomic support and comfort on and off the road. Carpets and leather upholstery are available as options - for those who don't want to carry dirt or sand into the vehicle anyway.
Comfortable, controlled and without fuss
A dry storage compartment under the rear seat, a lockable tray in the center console and side compartments in the rear cargo area are available for additional storage. With a wide range of interior options and accessories, every owner can customize their Grenadier to their individual needs.
