Hyundai i30 N
Starting in the fall, the i30 N will shake up the Swiss compact sports car market. One of its distinguishing features is the red front spoiler lip.

It has become a real eye-catcher: in the attractive launch light blue with the eye-catching special rims and the warning red line at the front on the spoiler lip, the brand-new Hyundai i30 N mixes up the compact sports car segment. Inside, too, it makes a good trap with its high-quality sports trim. And it doesn't just look good, it can do something, too.

On the technical side, among other things, an electronically controlled chassis with five programs, a limited slip differential and Launch Control ensure that pure driving pleasure is experienced behind the wheel.

Automatic intermediate throttle
The Rev Matching gear shift detection system ensures efficient, rapid gear changes. It automatically increases the engine speed level when shifting gears, enabling faster gear changes without loss of power. At the same time, the five-door model is also a reliable partner in everyday driving. For example, when it goes on sale in late fall 2017, it will have all the assistance systems that Hyundai offers for the recently revised i30 compact model series, such as an autonomous emergency braking assistant with pedestrian detection or an active lane departure warning system.

At the heart of the i30 N is a 2.0-liter gasoline direct injection engine that demonstrated its capabilities and reliability in 2016 and 2017 at the Nürburgring 24-hour race as part of the development work. It is coupled with a precisely controlled six-speed transmission with short shift travel.

The sound goes straight to the heart
The four-cylinder unit is offered in two output levels: 184 kW (250 hp) in the basic version, 202 kW (275 hp) with the Performance package. Maximum torque is 353 Newton meters. The sprint from standstill to 100 km/h is completed in 6.4 seconds, in the performance version after 6.1 seconds. The top speed is 250 km/h. Another highlight of the engine is the sonorous sound, which Hyundai engineers have worked on meticulously. Thanks to a special valve in the exhaust train with two tailpipes, the acoustics vary depending on the driving program. This makes the i30 N a feast for all the senses.

With the i30 N - according to Hyundai's promise - every owner can go straight to the racetrack without further modification.
