Hyundai: N shows the electric future 🎥
POWER IS EVERYTHING Hyundai has launched two striking concept cars under the N brand. With the RN22e and N Vision 74 models, the Koreans show what can be expected in the future.
Clearly, the RN22e and N Vision 74 concepts showcase the brand's sporty future. The RN22e (top gallery) uses the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with the body design of the Ioniq 6, and the N Vision 74 (bottom gallery) is a hydrogen fuel cell hybrid model inspired by both the Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo and the coupe concept of the 1974 Hyundai Pony.
New technologies of the company
The company's new technologies are being tested in the two rolling lab concepts with a view to applying them in future production models.
Till Wartenberg, Vice President of N Brand Management & Motorsport Sub-Division: "N is on track to set new standards for sustainable high performance. The RN22e is designed to maximize N's three performance pillars. It improves cornering feel despite its heavier weight by providing optimized torque distribution in line with different driving modes through its all-wheel drive system."
The RN22e offers a set-up optimized for the racetrack to provide customers there with maximum driving pleasure without sacrificing performance. The vehicle is 4.92 meters long, has a wheelbase of 2.95 meters and is powered by 740 Nm and 430 kW (585 hp).
Range 600 kilometers and top speed 250 km/h
The N Vision 74 model is a high-performance fuel cell hybrid that pays homage to the 1974 Hyundai Pony Coupe with a dynamically proportioned profile that leads into the era of high-performance electrification. It is equipped with a cockpit that offers a blend of traditional elements and modern design.
With a length of 4.95 meters, it is also a rolling high-performance laboratory for H2 fuel cell technology. Equipped with a 62-kWh battery and 95-kW fuel cell stack, the car with its 500-kW engine manages a range of more than 600 kilometers and a maximum speed of over 250 km/h.
