Hummer: All-electric SUV for the very rough 🎥

NOW IT'S HAPPENING The Hummer brand has not distinguished itself as a popular brand in the past. The brutality pressed into sheet metal seemed out of place when GM became a restructuring case a good decade ago: The brand was wound up.

But now Hummer is back - as a sub-brand for all-electric cars sold under the GMC brand umbrella. A massive SUV has now been launched alongside the pickup.

Hummer EV
The maximum output of the top version of the Hummer is 620 KW (842 hp). GM is silent about the weight.

Motors with different battery sizes
The model is to be delivered with two or three engines and with different battery sizes. The maximum power of the top version is 620 KW (842 hp), while GM states the maximum torque in a somewhat embarrassing, but in any case misleading manner with around 15,600 Nm. This was measured at the wheel. A Ford F-150 with a 3.3-liter V6 engine can do the same.

Maneuvering sideways with steering of all wheels
Depending on the version, the optional all-wheel steering ensures that the expansive SUV can also maneuver sideways in crabwalk if necessary. And although the Hummer EV can only travel a maximum of 480 kilometers on one charge, it is designed to act as a charging station for other electric cars.

Production is scheduled to begin in early 2023, and GM is already accepting reservations.
