New in the ambient lighting are the illuminated air vents reminiscent of aircraft turbines. All of them look classy and very elegant.

Despite increased exterior dimensions and larger standard wheels, the new CLS is one of the aerodynamic leaders in its segment with a drag coefficient of 0.26. The third generation of the CLS gets new engines throughout. The range includes three six-cylinder models at market launch: CLS 350 d 4MATIC 286 hp, CLS 400 d 4MATIC 340 hp and CLS 450 4MATIC 367 hp + 22 E-PS. The latter has the new straight six-cylinder gasoline engine and is electrified with EQ Boost (integrated starter generator) and 48-volt electrical system.

Communication module and Me Connect services
Standard equipment highlights include LED high-performance headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels with mixed tires, lane departure warning, speed limit assist, 12.3-inch multimedia system display, communications module with LTE and Mercedes Me Connect services.

Driving assistance systems with enhanced functions
With the Driving Assistance package, the CLS has the latest driving assistance systems with route-based support for the driver. The Active Distance Assist Distronic and Active Steering Assist now provide even more comfortable support when driving, keeping a distance and steering; the speed is now automatically adjusted in curves, before junctions or traffic circles, for example. Prices start at 88,900 Swiss francs.
