Genesis: First appearance of the GV80 CoupĆ© Concept š„
EUROPE-PREMIERE A few weeks after the auto show in New York, Genesis is bringing the GV80 Coupe Concept to Europe. Now the study was on display here for the first time - at a design event in Munich.
The SUV coupe from Genesis, painted in bold magma red, is based on the SUV GV80 but has a sportier and more elegant design. The glazing is identical up to the C-pillar, behind which the rear of the coupe slopes elegantly and flows into a sportily shaped rump. Black 23-inch wheels and a futuristic interior with individual rear seats complete the picture.
Brand logo and light strip
Not all elements will make it directly into series production: The further developed brand logo and the homogeneous light strips refer to future models of the noble brand from the Hyundai Group. And the specially made luggage and matching helmet and racing jacket will be produced in small series at best. But the body shape of the GV80 CoupƩ is already final.
Sound sample with six cylinders
Which powertrains will be offered in Europe is still open: While the regular GV80 will be offered in Europe with a four-cylinder gasoline engine and a particularly economical six-cylinder diesel, it will also be available in other markets with a 3.5-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine. And a sound test in the presence of chief designer Luc Donckerwolke left no doubt that this is exactly the engine installed in the study.
