According to the plant, a new 1.5-liter TDCi diesel engine with 120 hp will be the most economical Kuga in the front-wheel-drive version, with a standard consumption of 4.4 liters per 100 kilometers. It replaces the previous 2.0-liter engine of the same output.

A striking feature is the new taillights at the rear for a sporty look. There are also 17-, 18- or 19-inch aluminum wheels.

With automatically engaging all-wheel drive for improved traction off-road or on slippery surfaces, consumption is said to be only marginally higher. The evolution of one of Europe's most popular SUV vehicles also includes Sync 3, the next generation of Ford's voice-controlled communications and entertainment system, available on request.
