The new Fiat 500 has lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 42 kWh on board. They enable a range suitable for everyday use. To optimize charging time, the electric 500 is equipped with a fast charging system that enables a charging current of up to 85 kW. Thus, after only five minutes of charging, the batteries are charged far enough to drive around 50 kilometers - more than the average daily driving distance. The battery is 80 percent charged in just 35 minutes.

To the car an Easy Wallbox
For the market launch of its first electric vehicle, Fiat is offering solutions for home charging stations. The launch series of the new Fiat 500 will be sold together with an Easy Wallbox that plugs into a conventional 220-volt outlet. The Easy Wallbox is marketed in Europe by Mopar. In its basic configuration, the Easy Wallbox allows the Fiat 500's batteries to be charged at up to three kW, and the charging process is controlled via Bluetooth.

Normal, Range or Sherpa modes
The Fiat 500 has Normal, Range and Sherpa drive modes. In Sherpa mode, the entire system is configured to achieve the greatest possible range.
In Normal, the car can be driven almost like a conventional vehicle with an internal combustion engine. If, on the other hand, the drive program selector switch is set to Range, all that is needed in principle is to depress the accelerator pedal. Releasing the accelerator pedal triggers a braking process without having to depress the brake pedal. With a little practice, it is thus possible to move the no Italian with only the accelerator pedal. The brake pedal is only needed to bring the vehicle to a complete stop.

At the market launch, the new Fiat 500 is available as a limited edition convertible special model La Prima.

Up to 100 km/h in nine seconds
The electric drive of the new Fiat 500 has an output of 87 kW (comparable with 118 hp). This enables acceleration from a standstill to 50 km/h in 3.1 seconds, and 100 km/h is reached after 9.0 seconds. The top speed is limited to 150 km/h.

Level 2 autonomous driving
The new Fiat 500 is not only the brand's first purely electrically powered vehicle. It also brings level 2 autonomous driving to the city car segment for the first time. The systems required for this include, for example, cameras that monitor the area around the longitudinal and transverse axes of the vehicle. In addition, the new Fiat 500 is equipped with a 360-degree camera system that, for example, creates an image during parking maneuvers as if a drone were hovering above the vehicle.

More space for shoulders and legs
The interior of the electrically powered Fiat 500 has been completely redesigned. It shows echoes of the first model generation, but has become more elegant.
Examples of this are the slim dashboard, which has been extended in width, and the modular storage areas in the space between the front seats freed up by the elimination of the shift lever console, which significantly increase comfort. Shoulders and legs also have more space in the new Fiat. The batteries are mounted under the vehicle floor, so the trunk space is retained in full.

Fiat 500
The 85 kW fast charging system is standard on the all-electric Fiat 500.

Covers from recycled material
Like Fiat 500 Hybrid and Fiat Panda Hybrid, some model variants of the electrically powered Fiat 500 also have seats on board whose covers are made entirely of recycled material. This special fiber is partly made from plastic collected from the sea. In other model versions of the new Fiat 500, the seat covers are made of eco-leather.

Dolce Vita melody wrnt pedestrians
The first model variant of the new Fiat 500 is the convertible - the first emission-free convertible with four seats. Paying homage to the legendary Dolce Vita, the Fiat 500 revives the charm and sound of that era. Speaking of sound, the Acoustic Vehicle Alert System will be available for the model line in the near future, alerting pedestrians to the approaching vehicle with an unmistakable tone at speeds below 20 mph. Fiat has also chosen another reminiscence of the authentic Dolce Vita: the title melody from Federico Fellini's film "Amarcord" presented by Nino Rota.

Special model with exclusive colors
At the market launch, the new Fiat 500 is available as a limited edition convertible special model "La Prima". In keeping with the sustainability strategy of the new Fiat 500, the color palette is already inspired by nature. There are three colors to choose from: the earthy Mineral Gray Metallic, Ocean Green with a pearlescent effect reminiscent of the sea, and the three-coat Celestial Blue paint inspired by the sky. The special Fiat 500 La Prima model also features LED technology headlights, eco-leather seat upholstery, 17-inch diamond-finish alloy wheels, and chrome inserts on windows and the side trim. The price for the Fiat 500 La Prima convertible special model, including the Easy Wallbox home charging station, is 39,990 Swiss francs.
