The new variant expands the brand's lineup of electrified models, which includes the Panda Hybrid City Cross, Fiat 500 Hybrid and battery-electric Fiat 500.
Optimized transmission with six gears
The Fiat Panda Hybrid Urban combines a three-cylinder gasoline engine that generates 70 hp (from one liter of displacement) with a belt-driven starter-generator (RSG) that operates in the twelve-volt electrical system and assists the combustion engine with five hp during start-up.
The RSG draws its energy from a lithium-ion battery. Power is transmitted to the front axle via a new six-speed transmission.
Automatic start & stop without vibration
Compared to the four-cylinder gasoline engine 1.2 8V with 69 hp from the Fire series, the MHEV technology reduces CO2 emissions without sacrificing performance.
Compared with a conventional starter motor, the SG system makes it possible for the automatic start-and-stop system to operate much more comfortably and without vibration.
Different drives are available
Together, the Fiat Panda and the Fiat 500 are Europe's best-selling models in the city car segment. Both have led the sales statistics in the segment in Italy for eight years without interruption and are also very successful in Switzerland.
Among the secrets of the Panda's popularity are its compact exterior dimensions, large, multi-configurable interior, and comprehensive range of powertrains.
There is a choice of engines that run on gasoline, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) or natural gas (CNG), depending on the version. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive are available.
D-Fence Pack eliminates germs and pollutants
The D-Fence Pack developed by Mopar is available as an option for the Fiat Panda Hybrid at a promotional price of 325 Swiss francs. The system combats germs and pollutants in the interior.
The package consists of three components: a more powerful filter in the fresh air supply, an additional electrically operated air purifier in the passenger compartment that captures microparticles such as pollen or bacteria, and a small light that uses UV light to combat microorganisms on surfaces (for example, steering wheel, gear stick, seats) while the vehicle is parked.
