In 1980, Fiat presented a completely new vehicle concept with the Panda. The simply constructed but very practical, reliable and affordable model quickly enjoyed great popularity. Now it is appearing in comprehensively revised form for the 2021 model year.
Three body variants to choose from
The model series now presents itself with three body variants. The Life suits customers living in urban agglomerations, the Cross is for outings in the great outdoors, and the Sport is aimed particularly at a young clientele.
Characteristic features of the additional Sport variant are the redesigned bumpers, the 16-inch alloy wheels and the body colors Ceramic Blue and Matt Gray.
Twinair two-cylinder engine for natural gas operation
The upgraded interior includes the revised infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen. The Panda Sport is offered exclusively with 70-hp mild hybrid drive.
Fiat considers the Panda City Life to be the most important version. It is suitable for customers looking for a city car with an optimal price-performance ratio.
The engine range includes the 70-hp hybrid and the Twinair two-cylinder engine, also with 70 hp, which runs on natural gas. The Panda Wild 4×4 is also based on the City Life model and comes with special 15-inch wheels, underride protection and a discreet off-road look.
Its Twinair twin-cylinder produces 85 hp and is combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. The all-wheel drive system includes electronic traction control and a limited-slip differential. 4×4 versions are available from 17,490 Swiss francs.
Off-road look with chrome-look roof rails
The top model is the Panda Cross, which offers an exclusive off-road look with underride protection and red-painted tow hooks. Standard equipment includes 15-inch steel wheels, exterior mirror caps in body color and chrome-look roof rails. You can see more details in the gallery.
The models are now available from agents at promotional prices starting at 11,900 Swiss francs.
