Electric Brands: This is how practical the XBus 2 is 🎥
CONVERSION AS WISHED The mobility start-up Electric Brands presents another prototype with the XBus 2. The electric car is designed as an off-road box with a box module and has a payload of up to 1000 kilograms.
To get to know potential customers, the XBus 1 was presented at a roadshow.
With the XBus 2, the northern German company Electric Brands is also targeting commercial customers in particular. With its box body, the XBus 2 offers tradesmen and delivery services a wide range of applications.
The highlight here is that private and commercial customers will in future be able to convert their vehicles themselves according to their personal requirements without the need for special tools.
Modular electric light vehicle
Martin Henne, CEO of Electric Brands: "The XBus is a modular electric light vehicle of the latest generation. What makes it special is its multifunctional charging capability with solar integration, recuperative motors, an alternating battery system and special charging system."
Series production to start from 2022
To get to know potential customers, the company from Itzehoe in Schleswig-Holstein sent the XBus 1 on a roadshow. The developers have now implemented the feedback in the XBus 2. According to Henne, orders for the XBus are in full swing. The vehicle is then scheduled to go into series production from 2022.
600 kilometer range and all-wheel drive
The XBus is a lightweight vehicle with a maximum range of more than 600 kilometers. Despite permanent all-wheel drive, it weighs only 450 to 600 kilograms without batteries.
With more than ten modular and interchangeable bodies, the Xbus is a convertible, off-roader and station wagon as well as a pickup, panel van or camping bus. At around 98 percent, it is also almost completely recyclable.
The manufacturer names 22,220 euros as the base price.
