The drive variant combines a gasoline engine with 200 hp and two electric motors, each with 80 kilowatts (109 hp) and an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. This results in a system output of 300 hp with 450 Nm of torque.
Battery and electric drive
I first had to get used to the starting procedure and switching the automatic. The car is started in electric mode before the combustion engine responds.
I found the noise level to be very low. When you press the gas pedal, the French car is fast. You have the feeling of floating over the road.
Thanks to the intelligent placement of the battery and electric drive, space in the interior and also in the luggage compartment remains untouched, offering generous space.
Equipment and noble design
The DS 7 surprises with its noble and elegant design. As a Frenchman, I would say: "Très charmy."
The cockpit is clearly arranged and radiates calm. I would not have expected so much premium. The solid workmanship and small details like the small clock in the center, which starts up after startup, are convincing.
Unusual solutions in detail
Fine materials, pleasant seats with good lateral support and unusual solutions in the details make the SUV stand out from the crowd of competitors. The all-round visibility - especially to the rear - leaves nothing to be desired. The blind spot assistant and the all-round camera support the driver perfectly. This makes driving fun.
