The prototypes and pre-production vehicles of the new Porsche Cayenne have covered a total of around 4.4 million test kilometers.

The base engine, a turbocharged three-liter V6, now produces 340 hp, 40 more than in its direct predecessor. In the future, the Cayenne S will produce 440 hp, an increase of 20 hp. In the standard sprint, values between 6.2 and 4.9 seconds should be possible, with the big car from Stuttgart reaching a maximum of 265 km/h (factory data).

Suitability in the field
The Cayenne is strongly oriented toward the iconic 911 sports car: The SUV, which has also been visually enhanced, is available for the first time with mixed tires and rear-axle steering. In addition to these typical sports car features, the standard active all-wheel drive, Porsche 4D Chassis Control, three-chamber air suspension, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) electric roll stabilization enhance the onroad capabilities. The off-road capability of the Cayenne, which is 65 kilograms lighter than its predecessor despite significantly expanded standard equipment, remains unrestricted.

Wider and more athletic
The appearance of the Cayenne has also been further developed. The enlarged air intakes in the front are a striking sign of the increased performance. The new horizontal light edges make the SUV look wider and more athletic even when stationary. 63 millimeters more exterior length with an unchanged wheelbase (2895 millimeters) and nine millimeters less roof height compared with the predecessor reinforce the elegantly stretched impression of the Cayenne, which is 4918 millimeters long and 1983 millimeters wide without mirrors. The trunk volume is 770 liters, an increase of 100 liters.

Surface Coated Brake with Tungsten Carbide Layer
The "Surface Coated Brake" high-performance brake, a world first, is available as an option for all Cayennes and consists of a cast iron disc with tungsten carbide coating. This increases the friction coefficients and reduces wear and brake dust. The brake calipers are painted white, and the disc surface appears shiny after braking. The new brake system is only available in combination with 20 and 21 inch wheels.

Full HD touchscreen now 12.3 inches
The Porsche Advanced Cockpit is integrated into a sporty, luxurious ambience. The centerpiece of the new display and control concept is the 12.3-inch full HD touchscreen of the current generation of Porsche Communication Management (PCM), which also responds to voice input.

The interior is dominated by the new 12.3-inch touchscreen.

Prices
The third generation of the Cayenne is available to order now and costs from 91,500 Swiss francs in Switzerland. Prices for the Cayenne S start at 112,200 Swiss francs. Swiss customers benefit from a warranty extension (2 + 2) as well as the Porsche Swiss Packages with the following accessories at no extra charge: Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), ParkAssist front and rear including rear view camera, LED main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus, heated front seats, and digital radio DAB+.
